Emtee out on bail after sharing wife ‘beats’ him up:New look
South African hip hop artist Mthembeni Ndevu, porpularly, Emtee and Wife Nicole Kendall Chinsmay have once again grabbed the public’s attention with physical abuse allegations.
For years, Emtee has been using his social media pages to voice distress, claiming that he is a victim of physical abuse in his home. He began in 2023, alleging that Nicole physically assaulted and her brother threatened his life.
He recently shared a statement on Instagram saying “I get beaten up by Nicole Kendall Chinsamy multiple times and I know y’all will laugh at me and call me all the names in the but it’s cool, God got me” He also shared that he has scars from years of abuse and asks for help, not financial help because “She wants him killed”.
Shortly after this saga, Emtee was arrested for violating a protection order his wife has on him, he was later released on bail of R1000 and is expected to appear in court on 13 July 2026.
The physical abuse allegations are not one sided. Nicole previously accused Emtee for assaulting her while she was 28 weeks pregnant and shared images of her bruises. She opened a case but later withdrew it for the sake of her children.
The ongoing saga between Emtee and Nicole stresses out the complexities of toxic relationships, where multiple claims from both parties involved cloud the truth. Before the arrest, but after the allegations made strides across social media, Emtee the Hustler shared a picture of his new haircut and a statement that explains the haircut signifies change.
South Africa’s award-winning artist, Emtee shared a picture of his new haircut on Instagram. The artist previously had dreadlocks and marks this new hairstyle as a fresh start filled with purpose and determination.
On Wednesday, 10 June 2026, the artist shared a statement on Instagram expressing love and appreciation to his family and supporters for always being there for him. He states that their support inspires him every day.
“This past weekend, on 6 June 2026, I made a personal decision to embrace change and begin a new chapter by getting a fresh haircut. While it may seem like a simple change. it represents growth, renewal, and a positive outlook for the journey ahead”.
