South Africa has an increasing unemployment rate of youth and graduates who cannot get sustainability and stability. Many have asked how it is possible that a large amount of employable individuals struggle to get a job. A debate between whether the jobs are really not enough or whether you have the right connections to get one.

Education is not valued as much as it was when the past generation fought for it. The youth of this era are focused on the easiest way to get money rather than being qualified. The shift has become a major factor that decreased the importance of education.

Education was fought for, respected and honoured by those who did not get the chance to have it and embrace it. The most important part being missed is the importance of education. All those who embrace its uniqueness and indulge in it are knowledgeable enough to lead a nation. Education is not only a syllabus being passed on from teacher to student, but is a powerful tool that last for generations, carrying history, reliable sources and tricks.

If the whole world brings back education’s authenticity and value, a greater future of educated individuals will be achieved. Instead of facing consequences of the short route, education is a priceless gift. It is a gem in the rubble no one bothers to care about.
