Anxiety and excitement filled fans when the kings of amapiano opened ticket sales on 5 May 2026 to the Joburg Scorpion Kings Live. The demand was high as almost the whole country wanted to get their hands on the ticket and secure their place at the FNB Stadium. Suspense rose as buyers experienced being in a waiting room for hours and ended up not getting tickets and some were very lucky.

DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small hosted a live on both Instagram and TikTok telling their fans about their concert this coming September on the 19th. Since the two started hosting these concerts in 2022, fans have been eager to attend and enjoy their live performance.
Fans flooded TikTok and Instagram with content asking their followers and friends to give other people who have not attended a chance to attend this year. Debates arose as everyone wanted to go whether they have attended or not.
The kings of amapiano opened ticket sales and fans made their way to Computicket and other sites to buy these tickets. People were up early on 5 May to make sure they don’t lose this big chance. When the tickets ran out, fans were not happy at all.
All 50 000 tickets were sold out. Fans did review videos on social media saying they were unhappy about how the ticket sale went and their cries were heard by the Scorpion Kings. Round 2 for the ticket sales was announced by the kings through a live they hosted on TikTok and Instagram.
Round 2 for the tickets was on 6 May 2026 and a majority of those who couldn’t purchase tickets got them. Fans are now waiting patiently for 19 September to enjoy the Scorpion Kings live. Numbers changed from 50 000 tickets to a staggering 70 000 tickets being sold.
The Scorpion kings make history by having one of the fast-selling ticket sales in the history of South Africa, having over 500 000 people ready to get their tickets. Their tickets sold out within a week of the release.
